Gadgetren — Almost similar to Story in InstagramWhatsApp also has a feature called Status which allows you to share moments in the form of photos or videos with only 24 hours of broadcast time.
After the broadcast time is up, other users will not be able to see the status WhatsApp that again. With that short time, sometimes you want to capture interesting statuses made by other people.
Unfortunately, by default, WhatsApp does not provide a feature for downloading statuses. So you have to use applications from third parties, such as Story Saver for WhatsApp which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or access the status folder from the mobile File Manager.
How to Download Other People’s WhatsApp Status
Using Story Saver for WhatsApp
- Open the WhatsApp application on the mobile phone
- On the main page, select a tab Status
- Select Status WhatsApp who want to see
- Next, open the app Story Saver for WhatsApp
- On the home page of the application, there are tabs Image, Videoand Gallery
- Select the Image tab when Status as an image or tab Video if it’s a Video
- After entering the selected Status, then press the button Download down arrow icon
- After successfully downloading to the cellphone storage, then you can go to the tab Gallery
Apart from being able to view it directly on the Story Saver for WhatsApp application, you can also view photos or videos from the downloaded WhatsApp Status through the default Gallery and File Manager applications on your cellphone.
For more details, the Image tab in the Story Saver for WhatsApp application contains all photos from other people’s Statuses while the Video tab contains all videos from other people’s statuses.
Then the Gallery tab will contain various photos or videos from the WhatsApp Status that have been downloaded using the Story Saver for WhatsApp application.

- Access the WhatsApp application on the mobile phone
- On the application’s main page, select a tab Status
- Search and select Status WhatsApp what you want to see
- Next, open the application File Manager from cellphone
- Open folders Android
- Tuju folder com.whatsapp
- Select a folder WhatsApp
- Open folders Media
- Press the button More at the top right
- On the pop-up menu that appears, select Menu Settings
- Press the button toggle Display hidden files to the active position
- Return to page Media, select a folder .Statuses
- Next, you will see all the WhatsApp Status photos or videos that have been viewed
Even though you don’t need a party application from the Google Play Store, the steps needed to view it directly through the File Manager application feel long.
That way, those of you who want to be practical should download WhatsApp Status using the help of third-party applications because you don’t have to bother accessing many menus.
