How to Create a Google Meet Link and Share It with Other Participants

To support hybrid activities between WFO and WFH, of course, meeting or collaborating with each other through video calls or video conferences through Google Meet is one of the solutions that are often chosen.

Besides being able to be used for free, Google Meet has various features that can make video conferencing between users smoother. In addition, you can also change the background during the meeting.

Hosts or video conference event providers must first create a Google Meet link and then invite other people to join. Later the link created can be shared via Google calendar, social media, email, chat, and more.

How to Create a Google Meet Link

Via Mobile Application

  • Download and install the Google Meet app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store
  • Open Google Meet app and login with Google account
  • On the main page, press the button New meeting
  • In the pop-up menu that appears, select Get a meeting link to share
  • Furthermore, salin link which appears by pressing the double-sheet paper icon or pressing the button Share invite to share directly with others
  • Paste the link via chat applications, social networks, email, and more

Google Meet - Link Apps

Besides Get a meeting link to share, there are actually two other options including Start an instant meeting and Schedule in Google Calendar.

Start an instant meeting will make you directly enter into the meeting room and can share the link that appears to invite other participants. Meanwhile, Schedule in Google Calendar allows you to schedule video conferences and share them with other participants through their respective Google accounts.

Later, each participant can press the link that appears in their respective Google Calendar application to attend the meeting that will be held. Of course, it can also be seen when the video conference will be held in more detail.

Via Browser on Laptop

  • Access Google Meet via browser and Google account login
  • On the main page, press the button New meeting
