How to Calculate Instagram Engagement Rate Both Accounts and Posts

Gadgetren – In the world of influencer marketing, especially on social media, of course we are no strangers to the term Engagement Rate (ER).
ER is commonly used to see the level of follower engagement with any content created and is quite attached to Instagram social media.
ER is used by many content creators to be able to determine rate cards to score interactions with followers. You could say that ER is the heart for influencers to see how much the audience is involved when reading content, commenting, giving likes, and sharing.
Therefore calculating the ER of accounts and posts on Instagram is one of the very important things and fortunately we can do it directly from the professional Instagram profile dashboard.
How to Calculate Instagram Account ER
- Open the Instagram application.
- Tap the Instagram profile button in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- Tap the button Profesional dashboard on the profile page.
- Tap the menu Account insights.
- You will see the amount Accounts Reached and Accounts that interact (Accounts Engaged).
- Make sure it’s time to choose last 30 days.
- Calculate the ER account by dividing Interacting accounts with Reached accounts then multiply 100.
For example, if the number of interacting accounts appears to be 1,000 and the accounts reached are 2,000, then if it is calculated it will be (1,000/2,000) x 100 = 50%. That way we can see and analyze whether ER is experiencing growth or decreasing so that we can find out whether the content created is appropriate or not.
How to Calculate ER of Instagram Posts
- Open the Instagram application.
- Tap the Instagram profile button in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- Tap the button Profesional dashboard on the profile page.
- Tap the menu Account insights.
- Select the menu Content you share and tap post just uploaded.
- Select one of the posts with a number Reached accounts most widely.
- Calculate ER posts by dividing Interacting accounts with Reached accounts then multiplied 100.
- The results are also the same as the ER account in the amount of the percentage.
To make it easier and more organized, it’s best when we compare how to make an Excel table by filling in the percentage of posts and accounts. That way you can see ER changes in a more directed manner.
Apart from manually, there are also tools available to use, of course not all of them can be used for free Phlanx, Thought, Influencer Marketing Hub, Omnifluencer, and Analisa.io.
Quoted from the site Find Your Influencer, explained that ER is used to measure the level of interaction that influencers usually receive with their content. ER is not only needed for influencers but also for a brand or other business sector.
Meanwhile, ER from the influencer side can provide important information regarding the percentage of interaction or follower interest in each content that is created. Meanwhile, from a digital business standpoint, ER is a benchmark for the value of rate cards given by influencers to those who invite them to collaborate.
