9 Ways to Overcome Xiaomi’s Battery Running Out Quickly So It Lasts Again

Gadgetren – Mostly devices made by Xiaomi now it has a large capacity battery which in theory will be able to accompany the user on their activities from morning to night.
It’s just that with use, the ability to store power can indeed continue to decrease. Until in the end some of us might complain that the battery from the device used feels drained faster.
When experiencing this, fortunately we don’t need to rush to immediately replace the device’s battery. The problem is there are several alternative ways that can be tried to reduce power consumption so that the device becomes more efficient again.
1. Change the Performance Setting to Balance
- Open Settings.
- Enter section Battery or battery.
- Open tabs Battery saver or battery saver.
- Make sure the settings are on Balance.
Using a smartphone can indeed be smoother if we use the settings Performance. However, the power consumption will increase further because the chipset and various components require more energy to operate.
Returns settings to Balance is the right step if we still want to use the device comfortably without worrying about the battery running out quickly. By doing this, the device can avoid overheating.
2. Limit Apps Behind the Scenes
- Access the Battery settings menu again on the page Settings.
- Open tabs Battery.
- Select the menu App battery saver.
- Tap the app that you want to restrict.
- If you enter the section Active appsthen select Put apps to sleep.
- If you are logged in Sleeping appsselect an option Restrict background apps or Restrict background activity.
Even if you don’t see it, apps running in the background will also consume a large amount of power. Limiting it can certainly be a solution that can be taken if we want the device’s battery to last longer.
Besides being able to save power, cellphones can also have RAM with a more spacious capacity when we do that. So we can operate the device more smoothly without any problems.
3. Delete Unused Applications
If it is still lacking, we can also limit power consumption by removing applications that are not used. This step can even be a better option because the storage space will be more relieved.
4. Switch to Dark Mode
- Visit page Settings.
- Open the settings menu Display.
- Change settings Color Scheme the Dark Mode.
Just like devices from other brands, cellphones made by Xiaomi are also equipped with a dark mode. We can not only use it to change the display to be more comfortable to look at but also make the battery more efficient.
Especially if the cellphone already uses an OLED or AMOLED panel, the reduction in power consumption will be very significant. Both types of screens will turn off the backlight to produce dark colors.
5. Lower Refresh Rate
- Go to settings page Display.
- Find and open the menu Refresh rate.
- Change settings to Standard (60Hz) or lower.
Playing games or accessing some content can indeed be more enjoyable if we use the highest refresh rate setting. It’s just that we have to sacrifice the battery because the power consumption will be even greater.
Fortunately, Xiaomi has provided the MIUI interface with settings that can be used to adjust the refresh rate. Some of the cellphones they make even have support that can change automatically to adapt the content.
6. Turn Off Unnecessary Connectivity
- Open Control Center by dragging the status bar from the top right corner down.
- Turn off the button WiFi, Mobile Data, Hotspot, NFCnor Location if not used.
Even though it is very useful, support for WiFi, Mobile Data, Hotspot, NFC, and Location can make power consumption even more wasteful. We can therefore turn off features that are no longer used if we want the device’s battery to be more efficient.
7. Use Power Saving Features
- Enter to Settings.
- Go to page Battery.
- Change settings to Save battery.
- Or activate the option Ultra battery saver.
If you really have to, we can also reduce battery consumption by taking advantage of the power saving feature offered by MIUI. It’s just that keep in mind that the performance of the device will decrease and some features are not available when we activate it.
8. Make sure the system is in prime condition
- Open the app Security.
- Wait for the app to scan the system.
- Tap the button Optimize.
- If needed use the menu Security scan
System error malware attacks can also be a trigger for the device’s battery to run out faster. The MIUI interface is thankfully equipped with the Security app which includes a wide range of functions to deal with that and keep the system in tip-top shape.
9. Perform a System Update
- Open Settings.
- Enter page About phone.
- Tap an option MIUI Version.
- Click button Check for updates.
- Tap the button Download update if an update is available.
Ensuring the system is always in the most up-to-date version can also be something that is done so that the battery remains efficient. Some development bugs or system issues can result in increased power consumption if you don’t do so.
If several of the methods above have been tried but the Xiaomi device’s battery is still running out quickly, then it’s a good idea to bring the device to your office Mi Authorized Service or a trusted repair center. Let a qualified technician check it out.
But keep in mind, we may need to prepare some funds, especially if the device is not included in the warranty period. The problem is that we often have to replace components so that the device returns to normal.
